W e know that your first time at a church, any church, brings up some questions. How do I get there… what’s available for my kids… what should I expect? If we were visiting a new church for the first time, we would like to know what to expect, so here is a brief overview.
As a church, we want visiting Coastal Harvest to be an enjoyable experience easy, stress-free, and relaxing. We designed Coastal Harvest Church to be “user-friendly” for you, whatever your background, including you if you have never been to church before.
We want you to be able to experience the great worship music, encouraging messages, and friendly people that make up our services at Coastal Harvest Church and discover that we “love God, love people, with joy!”
What time does the service begin?
Coastal Harvest meets Sundays at 10:00 am.
How do I get there?
We meet at
325 Folly Road Suite 11, James Island, SC 29412. We are located directly behind the new Nason Medical Center on the corner of Folly Rd and Maybank Highway.
What is available for my kids?
We offer something for all ages at Coastal Harvest and it is our priority to ensure your child is cared for in a loving and secure environment. If you have little ones, we have an excellent nursery for babies and toddlers through age 4. You can sign them in to the nursery immediately upon arrival. Children ages 5 through 12 join their families in the sanctuary for the morning worship gathering and then are dismissed after worship for Kidz Zone, our children’s church.
What should I expect in church?
When you arrive at Coastal Harvest Church, our greeting team will be available to help you find anything you need, including where and how to check in children to their classes. If you didn’t have time for breakfast or coffee, don’t worry we have that covered. You can find freshly made coffee, Krispy Kreme doughnuts, and miscellaneous breakfast items in our Coastal Café. As you enter the main sanctuary, our greeting team will welcome you, give you a bulletin, and help you find a seat. The bulletin will have the week’s announcements and an agenda for the day’s service. If it’s your first time, don’t forget to stop by our visitor’s table in the Foyer for an information pack and a gift.
Enjoy the Coastal Harvest experience.
We know it can become the best hours of your week. God has blessed Coastal Harvest with many talented musicians who play drums, guitars, bass, keyboards, and vocalists who will lead us in a vibrant Spirit-led worship gathering. Then, our pastor, Steve Pittman or another speaker will share timeless truths that are insightful, interesting, and engaging. The messages usually last about 45 minutes, and all of the speakers do a fantastic job making the messages interesting, enjoyable, and relevant to daily life. You can expect the message to be solid Christian theology in intelligent, understandable, and relevant terms directly from the Bible. In addition, hopefully, you will laugh at times and maybe feel a tug at your heart. Then there is time at the end of the service where people can come to the front and receive prayer for any need.
Check out our Information Center after the gathering.
In the foyer, you can find information about our Family Life Night, previous messages on CD, and information about our various ministries. Stick around and meet some of the staff and/or other friendly members. Feel free to ask any questions about Coastal Harvest Church as you get to know us better after the service.
