Blaze,
I don't even know how I found your blog. Interesting. However, I sat here and read it from the most current all the way back to 2006. I was thinking of my own life's journey since 2006. Hmmmm. Thanks for being open to share your life. Blessings--a friend.

If we would all(Most) just take this mindset the generation that we influence would surly be that spike in the time line. Instead I think we find ourselves saying we dont have enough time instead of making the time we have enough.

I like the symbology used here in your post. It sounds alot like how Max Lucado brings stories of the Bible alive, and I love Max Lucado!
I struggled with this early on when I was a young man, because I was a "good person". (Everyone told me I was anyway.) Today I know the truth and know what sin does to a heart. It definately would resemble a rotting grape.

Blaze,

I was wondering if you are wondering if anyone is reading your blog. Well, I do occasionally. I have to say that that you are an inspiration to me. If people get to know you personally, they will find out that you are one of the hardest working sincere people they will ever know. I love you, man. :-)

I like this thought alot blaze (you need to write more often! I learn like this from guys like you). I was in the process of writing about something very similar just last night. I was thinking that if you measure something by YOUR perception and try to give input, your advice, thoughts or input might be a little off keel. Like, lets just say a person has been divorced, their input on marriage could be a little different than someone who has been married for a long time. Or lets say someone grew up in poverty, their perception about that homeless person and how they view you or me is going to change the advice that they would give regaurding what it is that the homeless person needs. I guess Im learning that while I am stubborn when it comes to MY sometimes skewed perception, its about vantage point. (this comment should be an email, sorry) I am stubborn and know everything in my 29years, I suffer from this more than not. However, I would submit that even people with a seemingly uhhh.. "BUNK" point of view, have just that, a point of view. VANTAGE POINT defined would be like you standing on one mountian looking at another telling me "no, you can never make it up that mountian over there" but, someone else I know who lives on the other side of that same hill said there is paved road to the summit. So I guess after all my chatter, what Im saying is that, YEAH, sometimes our perception is bunk, but its what we have to offer until we see the other side of that mountian....
But if we can REALLY become open to the heart of our LORD and His vision, you know the possibilities! Oh man! Our Lord knows no bounds!

We are all learning what it really means to "go" - Jesus kind of left that part open...I respect what you do and how you spur the rest of us on to do more, say more, feel more, think more and even believe more.

thank you Blaze Johnson, you are a friend above friends.

i totally agree Blaze. we've been in that situation before as a band. we've been asked to turn down due to the crowd wanting to be involved in other particular areas of the event we are playing.

i understand being respectful of an environment; however, when you invite a worship band out, wouldn't it be appropriate that everyone is worshipping God and not concerned over the sound and how loud it is. be loud to God, is my thing. let Him hear you above everyone else and if not that, let it be in unison as a voice together lifting Him up. great topic. later man.

Great point Amy, the obvious hits me square in the jaw. See about the middle when Jesus spoke into people's lives and they called him Rabbi.

I speak into my children's lives, they affectionately call me Dad.

and my children are children, not adults.

maybe I should be calling people by their titles because they want me to, and I respect them............ I may have this worked out sooner than I thought
