So I found this article, kind of neat……..
at least until the last line, “It’s the result, not the source, that counts the most.”
really??
I guess they are looking at it from the “it’s about me” mindset. Maybe I will call that me-ification, I will discuss that later in a different post.
So, this is what John 1:3 says.
This lobe mentioned in the article, is this the God shaped hole in our heart? I have had some meaningful worship, I have had times when I have felt that I could feel no pain, when an overwhelming rush had come over me, in a way that I can feel to this day, one that if I was standing at the time I would have fallen, all weak kneed and stuff.
The article talks of meditation, how meditation expands this particular lobe. I can meditate on the ways of God, I can muse on the understanding that God has provided me with a Holy Spirit that I should build a relationship with. The more I spend time with the Holy Spirit, the more I listen, the more I recognize his voice, the more I notice His presence.
In Romans 8, around verse 26 it talks of our weakness. It talks about how the Spirit intercedes on our behalf, how God works for the good of those who love him. So that we can advance the gospel as Paul talks about in Philemon.
Maybe the source does matter.
