Skillet has a song about needing a hero, oh how we do.

There is such a need for a superhero, that it is a multi gizzillion dollar industry between the movies, comics and other entertainment media.  Growing up we would tie a towel around our necks to make a cape, just so we could fly.

There is a scripture, Phillipians 4:13, which says I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me.  What is the author talking about?  Is he talking about moving mountains?  No, that was Jesus and faith of a mustard seed.  Walking on water; no, Jesus again….. healing the sick, not here, I remember Jesus discussing it throughout, but not here.

What the author is talking about is his perspective on life, and finding joy in todays circumstances.  Oh how I have needed to hear this over the years.

My last job was a good job, but even good jobs have bad managers and they were all over the place.  Looking back, I should have done better.  In chapter 4:5 it says to let our gentleness be evident to all.

Hmm, gentleness. 

A superhero who can help me with my mindset that will allow me to get to a point where my gentleness would be shown.
