This week I have been reading about the church in the bible. It is part of the restore reading plan for the series, the story of everything. I am reminded of why I do what I do. I love the church and truly believe it is the hope of the world. We (the community of Christ followers around the world) are God’s plan A to restore hope to the world through Jesus Christ. God doesn’t have a plan B that I can find anywhere, because he believes in you and maybe he even believes in me. All that to say that we have another opportunity to be the church this Saturday. Restore has it’s monthly reachout even called Servefest. It is an opportunity to come together and be the church through various opportunities to serve.

Every time I go, I get this inescapable sense that this is what church is. It connects people in community. It meets needs in our area. It shows our neighbors that we believe in what we say so much, that we do more then talk about it. You can get more info at servelovechange.org See you there!
